photographers & artists

DUJOUR showcases an abundance of dreamy fashion spreads in each issue. We look for youthful, dreamy, feminine, whimsical, and high quality photography that has been created independently and features a mix of indie designers as well as high-end or vintage designers. PLEASE only submit your work after getting to know DUJOUR’s style. You can search Google images, use our Flickr and Tumblr or view the past art issue here. Email your submissions here with all your relevant details in the form of lo-res jpeg attachments, pdfs and/or links to websites, flickr or similar file-sharing sites. Priority will be given to shoots with agency represented models. DUJOUR was also founded with most of its excitement focused on showcasing the work of insanely talented emerging illustrators and artists from around the world. And don’t fret, we focus on all kinds of art, not just fashion-related illustration. Email your submission with a link to your online portfolioto as well as a few images included in the body of the email here.

writers

Our writers have their own fun, humorously quirky and unique voices. We’re looking for independent lifestyle perspectives and narratives, bursting with personal insight and wit. Our best writing is honest, cheeky and stylish but never too-cool-for-school (hear that Nylon!). It should welcome the reader in rather than shut them out and read more like an afternoon chat over tea with girlfriends.

Both finished work and pitches are welcome. If sending only a pitch, please include clippings and/or portfolio samples of previous work. Read as many back issues as you can to get an idea of style and topics we cover. Some regulars include Etsy discoveries, blogger profiles, home decor, indie designer interviews and cupcake recipes! DUJOUR loves being surrounded by talented and inspiring bloggers. We have found not all bloggers are ready for our print edition due to their writing skills, but we are more than delighted to feature their ideas on our daily blog whilst they work on their writing portfolio (and eventually make it into the mag!). If you keep tabs on emerging designers from around the world, know the latest vintage shops making girls swoon, art that leaves viewers in awe, or have a killer chocolate chip cookie recipe, we want to hear from you. indie shops & makers of pretty clothing or bits and bobbins

DUJOUR is always on the hunt for independently owned and operated shops or boutiques for product placement. All lovely items are welcome, from jewelery and  accessories to stationery and homewares whether handmade or vintage! We also accept pitches directly from designers of apparel, accessories and home deocr products. Clear, large photos (preferably on a white background) are a must.
