the white space
Hi everyone! I am Brittni from the papernstitch blog and exhibition site, and I am a new contributor here on the Dujour blog. I will be posting a little bit of everything, from home decor to art and photography, every Wednesday from now on. And I’m thrilled to be here.
But enough about me, let’s get straight to today’s topic: Beautiful, White Spaces. Now that the lovely Dujour blog has a new decor column, it was only fitting to share a bit of inspiration for your own room.
To some, white walls are considered a boring basic. A sterile starting point, waiting to be painted. But for me, a white color palette is beautiful all on it’s own. Whether its white walls, creamy, light furniture, or white-washed floors, I am a sucker for it all. And some of the best examples of white done right can be found on the portfolio site of stylist Atlanta Bartlett, who manages to make every white-filled space she styles inviting.
What do you think? Are you brave enough to paint your walls (or floors) white?

such a great column <3 i agree about her use of white. not too many people could make plain walls look this good!
Ah, yes Jenna- you are speaking my language! I love the look of white wood floors as well. And Alexandra, hope you are able to keep cool in the desert. I live in Florida and its super hot here, so I can only imagine.

I love the look of white, wood floors. Even after they get scuffed up a bit, they will look vintage.
